Kilimanjaro trekking

Stand on the
roof of Africa.

Six guided climbs,
four routes to the summit.

Kilimanjaro is walked, not climbed, but the altitude is what decides who reaches Uhuru Peak. We run guided ascents on the Lemosho, Machame, Marangu and Rongai routes over four to eight days, with the longer itineraries giving your body more time to adjust. There is also a shorter Mount Meru climb for anyone wanting to acclimatise first.

Why climb with us

Four routes to the top

Lemosho, Machame, Marangu and Rongai differ in scenery, traffic and how gradually they gain height.

Longer routes summit more

Extra days on the mountain mean better acclimatisation and a better chance of standing on Uhuru Peak.

Full mountain crew

Guides, porters, cook, park fees and hut or camp accommodation are all in the price.

A warm-up if you want one

A shorter Mount Meru climb is available for anyone who wants altitude in their legs first.

Before you book

  • Longer routes have higher summit success rates because they allow more time to acclimatise. Mount Meru is available as a shorter warm-up climb.
  • Park entrance fees, transport and a professional English-speaking driver guide are included.
  • Visas, international flights, personal insurance and gratuities are not included.
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, halal and other dietary requirements are catered for on request.

Warm up on Mount Kenya

Africa’s second peak is the acclimatisation trek most climbers do before attempting Kilimanjaro.
