Who We Are
Lagoon Scenic Holidays plans and runs safaris across Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda from an office in Nairobi. We are not a reseller passing your booking down a chain. The itineraries, the vehicles and the driver guides are ours, which is why a route can change two days before departure, or a vehicle can sit with a leopard for an extra forty minutes, without anyone needing to ask permission. Seventy itineraries are published on this site. Most of the trips we actually run started as one of them and finished somewhere slightly different.

Trips built around the traveller
To plan and run East African journeys that fit the traveller rather than our schedule. That means honest advice about what will actually work in the days and the budget you have, prices with the park fees already inside them, and an itinerary you have read in writing before you pay anything.

Entrance fees, transport and your driver guide sit inside the quoted price. Everything excluded is listed on the tour page.
The 4x4s and the driver guides are ours, so a route can change two days out without going through a chain of approvals.

Where we go
Kenya
The Maasai Mara, Amboseli under Kilimanjaro, the flamingos at Lake Nakuru, Tsavo, Samburu and the Rift Valley lakes. Most of our work is here, and it is where our vehicles and guides are based.
Tanzania
The northern circuit: the Serengeti plains, the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, the baobabs of Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru sit in the same region.
Uganda
Gorilla tracking in Bwindi and wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Two focused itineraries rather than a full programme.

Dates, how many of you, the parks you have in mind and what you would rather avoid. A rough idea is enough to start.
We draft a route
A day-by-day itinerary with the lodges named, the driving times shown and a price that already includes park fees.
We change it
Most itineraries go through two or three rounds. Nothing is confirmed until the version in front of you is the one you want.
We run it
We meet you at the airport or your hotel, and the same team stays reachable for the whole trip.
